The Niagara Symphony Orchestra under conductor Bradley Thachuk announced last week that they will be opening their 2016-17 season with my orchestral work, “Toward Light” (2013) on a concert paired with Mozart’s Clarinet Concerto (played by none other than Anthony McGill, principal clarinet of the New York Philharmonic) and Tchaikovsky’s Symphony No.6. I’m super excited for the program especially since it will be the official World Premiere of the piece since its composition in 2013. “Toward Light’ was first read by the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra under the auspices of the Jean Coulthard Readings, and I am happy that three years later the piece will finally receive an official welcoming into the musical world!
Concert Details: Sunday, September 18, 2016, 2:30pm More info.
