Oct 21 – I am happy to announce that my composition Fantasies on Tang Poetry was awarded a 2nd prize from the SOCAN Foundation Awards for Young Composers in the choral/vocal category this year! The piece was commissioned by Tianjin Juilliard faculty Katherine Chu for the incredible baritone José Rubio and musicians from the Tianjin Juilliard School, setting the Chinese poetry of poet Yu Guangzhong.
