“Footsteps in Campbell House” – A new Chamber Opera for the 2015 University of Toronto New Music Festival

Campbell House
Campbell House, Toronto ON.

I am really excited to announce a new collaboration with U of T Opera and Campbell House Museum!  Myself and fellow composers Tyler Versluis, Yu-Ting Lin, and Joshua Denenberg will be co-writing a new opera in the coming months entitled “Footsteps in Campbell House” by librettist Michael Albano, the resident Stage Director for Opera studies at the University of Toronto.  This opera, based on factual events surrounding Campbell household, will take place at the historic Campbell House where Chief Justice of then Upper Canada William Campbell built the now historic landmark in 1822 and will be sung by very talented students at the University of Toronto Opera program.
