Oct 19 – I am excited to finally announce that I have been accepted as a composer fellow for the Gabriela Lena Frank Academy of Music! Gabriela is a truly inspiring and visionary composer who spearheaded an independent music academy in Boonville, California that is advocating for important changes in the way classical music operates, from engaging more with local communities to tackling climate change. I will be visiting in May 2022 for a brief residency where I will work with wonderful performers and composer on a new work to be premiered in late 2022.
