“Starscape” for piano trio wins 2nd Prize in the 15th Land’s End Chamber Ensemble Competition for Composers | Calgary, AB

I am very fortunate to have the chance to work with the Land’s End Chamber Ensemble again!  My work “Starscape” for piano trio was recently selected as one of three finalist works in their National Young Composers Competition, co-sponsored by the University of Calgary School of Creative and Performing Arts.  I will be joined by fellow finalists Alexandre David (Montreal) and Denis Nassar Baptista (Calgary) in the Land’s End competition concert happening on March 2 to duke it out (in the most artistic manner) for a prize of $1500 and a commission for the Land’s End Ensemble.  The finalist works will be judged by a panel of three renowned Canadian composers William Jordan, Nicolas Gilbert and Vincent Ho and a winner will be decided at the end of the event.

If you are reading this post and happening to be in Calgary, come out to hear some fantastic contemporary music performed by top notch professionals!  The event is free of charge 😉
