Musicus Society of Hong Kong ‘Music Inspires’ Commissioned Composer | Hong Kong SAR

I am happy to announce that I was recently selected as one of two commissioned composers by Hong Kong’s Musicus Society!  This annual commissioning project for emerging Hong Kong composers will culminate in a new work for piano trio inspired by the gorgeous heritage building 1881 in Tsim Sha Tsui that will be performed by internationally renowned artists in Hong Kong, this November.

The commissioning project has taken place since 2013 and have seen several young Hong Kong composers commissioned.  I am honored to have been selected as part of a call for scores competition and I look forward to collaborating with the performers Priya Mitchell (violin), Elena Cheah (principal cello: Concertgebouw Orchestra & Deutsche Oper Berlin) and Mary Wu (piano).  Watch this space for more information on dates and details as the project unfolds. 🙂
