“Down the Rabbit Hole” wins 2014 Orchestre Nouvelle Génération Composers’ Competition | Montreal, QC

I am pleased to announce that “Down the Rabbit Hole” for string orchestra was unanimously selected as the winner of the Orchestre Nouvelle Génération Composers’ Competition in Montreal.  The piece will be premiered by the orchestra under the direction of Airat Ichmouratov on January 24, 2015 at the magnificent Salle Claude-Champagne of the University of Montreal.  The competition was open to emerging composers of any nationality, under the age of 35.

The  piece will be programmed on a concert titled ‘Piazzolla Seasons”, featuring music for string orchestra by Piazzolla, Bartok, & Sibelius.  The work will receive its World Premiere at the concert.
